INGREDIENTS
- 115g Lurpak unsalted butter at room temperature
- 160g light brown sugar*
- 40g granulated sugar*
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract*
- 315g plain flour*
- 1 tsp baking powder*
- 1 tsp baking soda*
- 1 tsp salt
- 9 tbsp Nutella
- 150g chocolate chips*
METHOD
In a bowl, combine Lurpak unsalted butter, light brown sugar, and white sugar, whisking until smooth. Add the egg and continue whisking. Add the plain flour, baking powder, and salt, mixing until well combined.
Drop in the chocolate chips and shape the dough into small 90g balls. On a plate, create Nutella spots and freeze them. Once frozen, place them onto each dough ball.
Bake at 180°C (fan) for 9-11 minutes. Allow them to cool for at least 20 minutes before moving them. If they become slightly brown, don't worry; they will continue cooking while resting.
Tip: For best results and thicker cookies, refrigerate the dough overnight before baking. You can also refrigerate or freeze it for just half an hour, but this may result in slightly flatter cookies.
